Speech and Language Evaluations

We provide comprehensive, evidence-based speech and language evaluations to assess communication across key developmental domains, including articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic skills. Each evaluation includes standardized testing, informal measures, observations, and caregiver/teacher input when appropriate. A detailed written report is provided with individualized recommendations, goals (if warranted), and a clear plan of care to support academic and functional communication success.
Evaluation Services
Bilingual Speech & Language Evaluations

We provide comprehensive bilingual speech and language evaluations for students who speak more than one language. Assessments are conducted in English and Spanish, as appropriate, and consider language exposure, dominance, and cultural-linguistic background. Evaluations address both speech sound development and receptive and expressive language skills, using a combination of standardized testing, language samples, observations, and caregiver/teacher input. Our goal is to accurately differentiate a language difference from a language disorder and provide clear, defensible results to support educational planning and IEP decision-making.
AAC Evaluations
AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) evaluations are provided for students who have difficulty using spoken language to communicate effectively. These evaluations assess a student’s communication needs, strengths, and access methods to determine appropriate AAC supports, which may include picture-based systems, communication boards, or speech-generating devices. Evaluations are completed in collaboration with families, school teams, and related service providers to ensure recommendations support the student’s ability to communicate across settings and access the educational curriculum.
